You sluts: Laura Robson launches a volley at players who 'smole, drink and go with every guy'

Laura Robson has launched a volley at players who date excessively

While she is only 16 and has yet to make her mark in the senior game, Laura Robson has already developed some strong opinions about her female rivals.

And she doesn't mince her words. The Australia-born British star accused fellow players of having wild nights out, drinking and smoking.

'Some of the tennis girls, they're sluts,' she said. 'They go with every guy and make a bad name for themselves. You don't want to be known for stuff like that. You want to be more discreet.'

Yesterday she claimed the comments, in an interview with Vogue magazine, had been 'taken out of context'. But they might leave her with some explaining to do when she comes across fellow players in the dressing rooms.

Since winning the junior Wimbledon title in 2008, Miss Robson has been seen as Britain's brightest prospect.

She partnered the men's no 1 Andy Murray in the Hopman Cup in January, losing in the final, and last month moved up to a ranking of 269 in the world after a series of good results in the U.S.

In the interview with Vogue, she admitted to having a crush on the retired Russian player Marat Safin, whom she once pretended was her date to the junior Wimbledon dinner.

She described Safin as ' phenomenally good-looking,' but added: 'He's old - he's 30.'

Miss Robson, who trains at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy in Paris, is not taking part in the French Open because she is concentrating on her grass- court game ahead of Wimbledon, where she is expected to be given a wild card to the senior event.

She says she relaxes with best friend, Canadian player Eugenie Bouchard and showed the magazine a video on her BlackBerry of them dancing in their underwear to a Miley Cyrus song, with adidas pants on their heads.

Another picture shows her with Andy Murray at the end-of-tournament dinner for the Hopman Cup in Australia.

'The trophy had 52 diamonds on it,' she said. 'We (the Great Britain team) would have got it if only he'd won his singles match, so we can blame Andy for that - now he owes me diamonds.'

Miss Robson insisted there was 'no in-fighting' among the female students at the academy. She claimed she was 'tucked in by 10pm' every night' and was 'not interested' in going to nightclubs.

'My coach knows I'm sensible. I don't like the taste of alcohol and I hate smoke.

'Yes, there are moments when you speak to your old friends and they're all going out to parties and I'm stuck in Paris boring my brains out. But it's so much fun. We all know each other so well.'

Kelly Rowland reveals her toned figure on the beach after cutting sugar helps her shed 10lbs

By Mail Online Reporter

Sun worshipper: Kelly Rowland is spending Memorial Weekend at her Miami Beach home

With her defined muscles and toned figure, Kelly Rowland is looking in better shape than ever.

The former Destiny's Child singer is spending the Memorial Day weekend at her home in Miami, where she has been sunning herself on the beach.

Her pale blue cut-out swimsuit highlighted her shapely waist, which showed the benefit of her regular work outs.

Kelly has shed up to 10lbs in recent months - which she puts down to giving up sugar.

'I'm telling you, I'm not eating sugar,' she said. 'I didn't even try to lose weight.

'I read this book, called You Are What You Eat. The author [Gillian McKeith] is talking about sugar, she's talking about meat, she's talking about cheese.

'I did some of those things for a month, but for the most part, it is just sugar that is gone from my diet.'

In shape: Giving up sugar helped Kelly shed 10lbs, without dieting

Kelly, 29, has also been working hard on her as yet untitled third solo album, and is preparing for the U.S. release of single Shake Them Haters Off.

It will not be available in the UK, instead she will release Commander, her latest dance collaboration with David Guetta.

Discussing how dance music has influenced her sound, she told Pinboard: 'Don't judge me, listen to the record.

Fuller figured: Kelly on the beach in November; she has since lost weight

'For so long being in a group was, part of my blood. I had to almost reprogramme myself for just me, I, Kelly.

'Everyone was like, "Are you going to do a full dance album or are you going to do an urban album?" I'm doing both, because I won't allow anyone to put me in box.

'I've got to find my voice. I blame myself a little bit for not having the faith to do that, and I finally have the faith to do that.'

Rare day off: Kelly is working on her third solo album

Kelly has had her own successful solo career after the release of her album Simply Deep in 2002 and Ms Kelly in 2007.

'Ecstatic' Celine Dion pregnant with IVF twins at 42

By Mail Foreign Service

Victory: Canadian singer Celine Dion, 42, is pregnant with IVF twins

Singer Celine Dion is reportedly pregnant with twins after her sixth attempt at in-vitro fertilisation.

The 42-year-old Canadian star's dream of expanding her family has come true, her spokesman has told U.S. media.

Dion, who is married to her manager Rene Angelil, 68, is already mother to nine-year-old Rene-Carles.

And after undergoing her sixth in-vitro fertilisation attempt and turning to acupuncture to improve her chances of conceiving, her spokesman Kim Jakwerth confirmed the happy news to People.com.

Dion is said to be 14 weeks pregnant and will find out the babies' genders next month.

'We're ecstatic,' her husband and manager Rene Angelil told the website.
'Celine is just hoping for a healthy pregnancy.

'She was hoping for one baby and the news that we are having two is a double blessing.'

It was reported Celine was pregnant last August, but her spokeperson confirmed in November 2009 that the pregnancy had failed.

The My Heart Will Go On singer has never made a secret of her desire to extend her family, and was always planning to fall pregnant following her run of shows in Las Vegas last year.

But Rene's battle with cancer cast doubt over whether the couple would have more children of their own.

She said: 'We'll give it a try after my tour. Hopefully we will be parents again. If not, that's fine. We have our miracle baby.'

Celine fell pregnant with Rene-Charles after having IVF treatment following six years of attempting to conceive.

When asked last December about her plans to fall pregnant for a second time, she confirmed she and her husband had 'a frozen embryo' waiting.

Thrilled: Celine Dion with husband Rene Angelil. The pair are expecting twins

Last year, Rene said: 'We are living the reality of the majority of couples who have to use [IVF]. The process can be long and arduous.

'But we are full of confidence. Céline is more determined than ever.'

In February, Celine told talk show host Oprah Winfrey that she and Rene had started on their fifth pregnancy attempt, and were determined not to give up.

She said: 'It’s life. You know? A lot of people go through this, but it’s not being told because it’s not in newspaper.

'But with us, as you know, it’s like, sometimes news are like mercury.'

Happy family: The couple already have a son Rene Charles, pictured, but have been trying for another baby for years

Celine also said she didn't want to announce her miscarriage straight away, explaining: 'They said that I was pregnant, and a couple of days after, we were not pregnant again.

'We didn’t want to feel like we were playing yo-yo - "I’m pregnant. I’m not pregnant. I’m pregnant. I’m not pregnant." So we didn’t want to do this thing. But we did have a miscarriage.'

She added: 'I will be the happiest one to tell you when I’m pregnant. And if not, I’m the luckiest artist, especially wife and mother of a wonderful son. So I’m glad.'

Meanwhile, construction on the couple's Florida dream home - a £13million oceanfront Jupiter estate - is forging full steam ahead.

'I refuse to be intimidated into dowdiness': How one woman solved her plus-size dilemma

By Annabel Rivkin

Annabel modelling an Issa gown

A size-16 girl could be forgiven for thinking that she’s simply too large for designer fashion. But don’t be intimidated, says curvaceous journalist Annabel Rivkin. High-end fabulousness awaits – you just need a little insider know-how…

Let’s get the cross bit over with. Dressing fashionably and flatteringly and in designer clothes when, like me, you are a size 16, can be a bit of a bore. Most of the department stores are useless, and some of the high-fashion labels seem to be offering the opposite of vanity sizing: so often I pluck up the courage to try on their size 16 only to realise that it is – in real terms – a size 12. Then there’s the curse of the sneering shop assistant, except that, instead of the look that says, ‘Are you rich enough to shop here? I don’t think so,’ it has become, ‘Are you thin enough to shop with us? Clearly not.’ Which is sad considering that there are more size-16 women in this country than any other size.

Of course, the high street caters perfectly well for size 16s. But should you wish to invest in a classic piece or immerse yourself in proper, indulgent, expensive, high-end, directional fashion, there’s no need to feel intimidated either. I have been a 16 – give or take – for most of my adult life and I refuse to be intimidated into dowdiness, or to feel that I don’t deserve any better than invisibility. I’ve written about style for years and I know that the size-16 woman, more than our smaller sisters, needs beautiful tailoring and quality fabric – the sorts of things you’d hope to find in abundance on, say, London’s Bond Street. And here’s the good news: it is all out there. It’s just a question of navigation.

‘Are you rich enough to shop here? I don’t think so,’ has become, ‘Are you thin enough to shop with us? Clearly not’
Size 16 comes in many different incarnations. There is the 6ft, broad-shouldered amazon who probably doesn’t even look plump because she’s perfectly in proportion; the very short, altogether rounded version; the pear shape, and there is my kind of size 16. To break it down for you, I am just under 5ft 6in, have a smallish waist, vast bosoms,

a rudely generous bottom, no neck, long legs and a very short middle (which means no necklaces, no boat necklines, nothing double-breasted and no tucking anything into trousers). When I get it right I look a bit of a bombshell. When I get it wrong I look entirely matronly.

Many of us end up resorting to a uniform that makes us feel safe. But that uniform will, inevitably, expire both in terms of trend and in terms of our own subtly shifting sense of self. In my early 20s I wore black trouser suits to everything – weddings, parties, nightclubs. In my late 20s I wore black dresses to everything. In my early 30s I got pretty fat and so my style got a bit hippier, with chiffon shifts and lots of smocks. Now, in my mid 30s – young enough to embrace trends but old and wise enough to understand both the limitations and opportunities of my shape – I am putting myself back in the fashion game. I have to. Summer is here, there are weddings and parties to plan for and I have learnt through miserable experience that planning prevents panic. Recently I tried on all my clothes and almost nothing looked right. In terms of clothes I feel irrelevant and, inevitably, as though I have lost my place in the world. This will not do.

Exploring new territory with personal stylist Gillian Storey

Looking through some kaftans by Daisy Darche; leaving Liberty with her purchases

In the old days I would have scuttled into Stella McCartney for a tailored suit, because she has a slightly retro aesthetic that does the opposite of making one look mumsy. But suits can look heavy in the sunshine. And as for linen – with the first crease I look like a sack of old laundry (you need waif-like vulnerability to carry off that artless, crumpled style). No, in summer, I find my real friends are dresses and shoes. The dress can be picked to flatter my shape, and the shoes can be used to slam-dunk the whole outfit into this season. Issa is a very useful label – particularly its plain, full-length, plunging silk-jersey evening gowns, which do not date, come in gentle yet powerful hues and possess a simple glamour that begs for a pair of vast Erickson Beamon earrings.

In Fenwick (which also carries Ischiko, Nicole Farhi and Handwritten, all of which come in a size 16) I found a floor-length blue Issa dress, but was reminded that Spanx are essential underneath as silk jersey is kind on curves but cruel to lumps and bumps. Issa’s kaftans are glamorous, too, should you wish to embrace the diva aspect of being full-figured, as I regularly do.

The real mistress of jersey is Donna Karan, who manages to cut it precisely and uses flattering matt fabric. At Liberty, the personal stylist Gillian Storey dug out a navy Donna Karan cocktail dress with a plaited belt detail, and a proper Mad Men pencil skirt that we paired with bondage-style Nicholas Kirkwood shoes. In addition, Vivienne Westwood is doing some lovely jersey cocktail dresses this season – draping on top but supported by her corsetry beneath. I tried on a powder-pink frock that flattered apart from the sleeveless aspect. I just wish she’d do more frocks with sleeves because upper arms are danger zones for me.

When the summer gets going, you really need a breathable fabric to save you from being that overheated female fanning herself in the loo at the party. Thin girls look peachy when they are hot; large girls look deranged. Similarly, always have clean hair. Where a sylph looks intriguing with slightly scruffy tresses, a more voluptuous woman looks a little unhinged.

Annabel tries on a Donna Karan dress with some Nicholas Kirkwood heels. The pink shoe-boots are by Rupert Sanderson

I had called Liberty’s personal style service to introduce me to more uncharted territory. Fabrics such as silk frighten me because I never really believe that I’ll get into anything that isn’t stretchy, but Gillian – a real whiz when it comes to accessories – found me a silk ikat print number by Dries Van Noten that I would never have even considered. The graphic print presented a slightly harder-edged, uncompromising look that was a nice alternative to the plain or floral silk jersey, viscose or Indian cotton that I usually wear.

I fell hard for Betty Jackson’s daisy-chain and flower-bunch patterns, which are delicate and dreamy but generously cut. Jackson is a godsend for the size-16 shopper. I particularly like her navy paper-silk top tucked into a cotton pencil skirt. Sharp and sassy and all one colour, which is always a good idea.

After seeing a vile old photograph taken at someone’s wedding, where I’d inserted myself into a size 14 only to look like a vacuum-packed sausage, I’ve realised that it is a mistake to squeeze into the smallest size that I can do up. A size 14 that strains at the seams will make a woman look far fatter than a size 16 that skims. So I also popped into Cos, my favourite high-street destination, where they go up to a size 18. A gunmetal, sequined prom dress, worn with ankle boots, gave me a way into the rock-chick look that is huge at the moment, while an embellished gladiator tunic provided a forgiving line.

Having asked around, I now know that most of the best-dressed women, whatever their size, recognise alteration as the key to true elegance. So I’ve found an expert alterations lady and dressmaker in London (Rashmi Makwana, tel: 07956 918865), who has myriad cunning ways to mould a piece to my body so that it looks almost bespoke.

She might borrow an inch or two of material from the skirt to add some room around the bust, or move a zip, or cut away a neckline. Most designer shops have an in-house alteration service, but if you want to significantly alter the
style of the piece, an independent seamstress is best. And I have discovered that the best way to fake statuesque elegance is with shoulder pads. John Lewis sells super-cheap foam ones. They help rejig proportions.

I also went in search of a summer coat – something that would work over a dress as an alternative to a mean little jacket. Here I discovered that vintage is a gold mine. It is a myth that vintage clothes are all minuscule. I consulted
the London-based vintage dealer William Banks-Blaney, who understands shapeliness.

He found me a couple of Jackie O-style swing coats: they are miraculous for a woman with a big bust and/or bottom as the fabric moves so well and the generous line flatters your legs. Big sunglasses, high heels, a cocktail ring and I felt really glorious and comfortable, which is so rare. I dived in further with Banks-Blaney to discover that a 1960s empire shape would enhance my embonpoint and draw the focus up to my face. And, of course, the big bonus of vintage is that you are unlikely to sail into a party only to find someone else wearing the same frock.

If you enjoy clothes, then knowing that you don’t have to be excluded from fashion because of your size is crucial to self-esteem. It might take a bit more time, research and guts if you are a size 16, but if I’m worth it, then so are you.

Dennis Hopper dies at 74: Veteran actor loses battle with prostate cancer

By Daily Mail Reporter

Last public appearance: Dennis Hopper, pictured for the final time in March, has died at the age of 74 after a long battle with prostate cancer

Hollywood actor Dennis Hopper has died at the age of 74 after a long battle with prostate cancer.

The star of Easy Rider, Apocalypse Now and Blue Velvet was surrounded by friends and family at his home in Venice, California, when he passed away on Saturday morning.

He was last seen in public in March, when he emerged looking frail for the unveiling of his star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.

At the time of receiving the star, he said: 'Everything I've learned, I've learned from Hollywood. This has been my home and my schooling.'

Bitter split: The actor was locked in divorce proceedings with wife Victoria Duffy at the time of his death

He leaves behind three adult children as well as a seven-year-old daughter, Galen.
Hopper was diagnosed with cancer in September 2009 and had been fighting the disease while also going through a difficult divorce from his wife of 14 years, Victoria Duffy.

The star was thought to be trying to prevent his wife from contesting his will, which apparently leaves her only a quarter of his estate.

Miss Duffy is understood to have been furious after discovering that her inheritance would be exactly what she had agreed to under the couple's prenuptial agreement and no more - despite the relatively long duration of their marriage.

The were also engaged in a custody battle over Galen, and earlier this year he accused her of stealing his £1million art collection, including a piece by British graffiti artist Banksy.

In court documents, Hopper's assistant, Emily Davis, even accused Victoria of trying to kill the actor.

On April 5, a judge ordered Hopper to pay his estranged wife $12,000 a month in child and spousal support and ruled that Duffy be allowed to live on Hopper's property with their daughter pending the outcome of their divorce proceedings. Hopper did not attend the hearing.
In a wildly varied career spanning more than 50 years, Hopper appeared alongside his mentor James Dean in Rebel Without A Cause and Giant in the 1950s and played maniacs in such films as Apocalypse Now, Blue Velvet and Speed.

Screen icon: The actor, pictured left, was most famous for his role in Easy Rider in 1969

Hollywood legend: Dennis Hopper in the 1979 movie Apocalypse Now directed by Francis Ford Coppola

Long battle: Hopper, pictured here in March, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2009

He received two Oscar nominations - for writing Easy Rider with co-star Peter Fonda and Terry Southern, and for a rare heartwarming turn as an alcoholic high-school basketball coach in the 1986 drama Hoosiers.

But his prodigious drug abuse, temper tantrums, propensity for domestic violence and poor choice of movie roles often made him a Hollywood pariah.

Hopper felt over-indulgence was a requirement for great artists.

He once claimed he snorted lines of cocaine 'as long as your arm every five minutes, just so I could carry on drinking ... gallons' of alcohol.

Still, his legacy rests securely on Easy Rider. Regarded as one of the greatest films of American cinema, it helped usher in a new era in which the old Hollywood guard was forced to cede power to young filmmakers such as Francis Ford Coppola and Martin Scorsese.

The low-budget blockbuster, originally conceived by Fonda, introduced mainstream moviegoers to pot-smoking, cocaine-dealing and long-haired bikers.

'We'd gone through the whole '60s and nobody had made a film about anybody smoking grass without going out and killing a bunch of nurses,' Hopper told Entertainment Weekly in 2005.

'I wanted Easy Rider to be a time capsule for people about that period.'

Hopper and Fonda were joined on screen by a then-unknown Jack Nicholson as an alcoholic lawyer, but it was not a harmonious set.

Onscreen villain: Hopper with Sandra Bullock in the hit film, Speed

Hopper clashed violently with everyone and Fonda later described him as a 'little fascist freak.' Their friendship was destroyed.

Hopper's 1971 directorial follow-up, The Last Movie, shot amid what he later called 'one long sex and drug orgy' in Peru, was a flop.

He was often gripped by paranoid delusions.

In 1982, while filming Jungle Warriors in Mexico, he ran naked into the jungle, convinced World War Three had started.

He was put on a plane home but jumped out onto the wing as it was about to take off, fearful that the plane was on fire. Upon his return, he was admitted to a psychiatric hospital for three months.

He starred in bad movies just for the money, such as Super Mario Bros. and Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, and turned down important projects that could have enhanced his legend, such as Taxi Driver and Reservoir Dogs.

Fan tribute: A floral wreath was placed on Hopper's star this afternoon

Hopper mellowed somewhat in later years, becoming a Republican and a pitchman for the likes of Gap and Nike.

Outside of Hollywood, he was a noted photographer, painter, sculptor and art collector.

Final weeks: Hopper's daughter Galen joined him at the March ceremony

Hopper fell ill last September.

He continued working almost to the end, both on his cable TV series Crash and on a book showcasing his photography.

Hopper was married and divorced numerous times before he wed Duffy, who is 32 years his junior, in 1996.

His first wife was Brooke Hayward, the daughter of actress Margaret Sullavan and agent Leland Hayward, and author of the best-selling memoir Haywire.

They had a daughter, Marin, before Hopper's drug-induced violence led to divorce after eight years.

Miss Duchin told The Mail on Sunday last night: ‘I am glad for him that it is over.

‘For the last week he was in great pain and refused food and a stomach tube.

‘He was still in the process of getting a divorce. I’m not sure what happens next. I just hope his wishes will be followed.’

His second marriage, to singer-actress Michelle Phillips of the Mamas And The Papas, lasted only eight days.

She later told Vanity Fair she was subjected to 'excruciating' treatment.

A union with actress Daria Halprin also ended in divorce after they had a daughter, Ruthanna.

Hopper and his fourth wife, dancer Katherine LaNasa, had a son, Henry, before divorcing.

He married his fifth wife, Victoria Duffy, who was 32 years his junior, in 1996.

Beauty contestant warns of 'careless sunbathing' after contracting skin cancer aged 24

By Daily Mail Reporter

Amy Hills, of Selby, had a cancerous mole removed in an operation on the same day she took part in the Miss York contest

A beauty queen contestant has issued a stark warning against careless sunbathing after revealing she developed skin cancer at the age of just 24.

Amy Hills, a finalist in the Miss York contest taking place this week, topped up her artificial tan at least once a week and refused to use suncream.

But during a routine visit to her doctor she happened to mention that a mole on her left arm had begun to change in appearance.

The dental student was horrified to be told just days later that it was cancerous.

Thankfully an operation last week revealed the cancer had not spread. However, Amy will have to have constant check-ups.

She is speaking out about her ordeal as a warning to other women tempted to take terrible risks in their quest for a golden glow.

Amy, of Selby, North Yorkshire, said: 'Like a lot of other young woman, I wanted to look good and so would go for a tan about once a week.

'And when I sunbathed, I wouldn't normally use suntan lotion. I thought it would never happen to me.

'But I noticed that the mole on my arm which I had always had had begun to change about six months ago. It was darker, raised and had a jagged edge.

'The doctor called in with a colleague to have a look, and they both said it needed to be removed as a matter of urgency. When the test results came back saying it was cancer I was in a state of shock.

'The doctors said they were sure it was it was my sunbed sessions and sunbathing without lotion that had led to this.'

Amy underwent surgery last week just hours before she took part in a 'boot camp' style challenge as part of the build-up to the Miss York contest.

Doctors have told her she needs a check-up every three months for the next five years to ensure the potentially fatal cancer has not returned.

They also warned her off tanning salons for life and said she should always wear suntan lotion with a protection factor of at least 30 in the sunshine.

She added: 'It's left a dent on my arm which will always be there. They are very hopeful they have removed everything that is cancerous.

'But if I hadn't been to the doctor about something else, I might have left it for months more, which could have allowed it to spread further.'

50 Cent is unrecognisable as he loses FOUR STONE in nine weeks for new film role

By Daniel Bates and Donna Mcconnell

Unrecognisable: A gaunt-looking 50 Cent shows off the effects of his 54 pound weight loss in a photo on his official website

These shocking pictures look like a homeless man who has not eaten for weeks.

But they are actually photos of multi-millionaire rapper 50 Cent, who lost a staggering 54lbs in just nine weeks for a film role.

The hip-hop star went on a liquid-only diet and worked out for three hours a day to achieve the staggering weight loss.

Buff: 50 Cent shows off his famous muscles on stage at a gig last year

He is due to play a cancer-stricken American football player in a forthcoming film and wanted to look authentic for the part.

In the past 50 cent has made much of his muscular body, often appearing topless in videos and showing off his huge frame.

The 34-year-old is starring and co-producing 'Things Fall Apart', which will also feature Ray Liotta and is directed by Mario van Peebles.
Soon after the dramatic weight loss pictures were posted on his website, 50cent.com, rumours swept the internet they were a hoax.
But in a statement the star, real name Curtis Jackson, confirmed the pictures were authentic.

'I was starving,' he said, adding that now he is back on tour, 'I've been eating. I'll be back in shape in no time!'

In the film which is set for release in 2011, 50 Cent plays a football player diagnosed with cancer.

He dropped from 214 pounds to an astonishing 160 pounds with a liquid diet and three-hour-a-day treadmill walks for nine weeks.

'Starving': 50 Cent went on a liquid-only diet and spent three hours on the treadmill every day to shift the weight

The rapper's achievement still does not top that of Christian Bale, who lost 63lbs for his role in the dark mystery film 'The Machinist'.

Bale went from 185lbs to 122lbs to look like he 'had not slept for a year' and did it by cutting out most foods and relentlessly exercising.

In addition, the rapper - real name Curtis Jackson has had the tattoos on his arms removed in preparation for his acting career.

He has said: 'I took ‘em off. I’ve been on a few acting projects and they been making me get up… My call time is four hours before the regular acting talent because of the tattoos.'

Jackson made his film debut in the semi-autobiographical semi-autobiographical film Get Rich or Die Tryin' in 2005.

He starred in the Iraq War film Home of the Brave in 2006, and opposite Robert De Niro in 2008 crime thriller Righteous Kill in 2008.

And last year starred in Brit gangster film Dead Man Running.

'Fiddy' is one of the music world's richest performers, with an estimated fortune of $440 million in 2008.

Last year Billboard Magazine named him 6th best artist of the 2000-2009 decade

Charlize Theron's diet secret revealed as actress steps out clutching meal replacement shakes

By Daily Mail Reporter

Diet aid: Charlize Theron steps out with Lean Body meal replacement shakes in Los Angeles yesterday

She previously said she relies on six meals a day to stay slim.

But now Charlize Theron's true diet secrets have been revealed, after the 34-year-old actress was spotted clutching a box of meal replacement shakes.

Dressed in a loose-fitting white shirt and skinny jeans, Theron made no attempt to hide the diet aid as she stepped out in Los Angeles yesterday

Lean Body meal replacement shakes, from Labrada nutrition, contains high protein levels but low amounts of carbohydrates, to 'make it easy to stay in great shape, and perform at your peak', according to the company's website.

Delicious: The shakes were awarded an American Tasting Institute Gold Medal

The shakes, which can be mixed with water to make a 'delicious drink', were even awarded an American Tasting Institute Gold Medal.

While Theron does not appear to need to lose any weight, she is one of a number of celebrities who rely on meal replacement shakes when they feel like they need to shed a few pounds.

Britney Spears has also been reported to use the diet aid to lose weight.

Oscar-winning actress Theron revealed recently that despite having a seemingly perfect life, she often had 'fat days' like every other woman.

She said: 'Life is just as complicated for me as it is for any other woman out there and I wake up just like ever other woman sometimes and can’t fit into my jeans and feel fat and ugly and have bad days.'

Theron had previously revealed she used a diet method of eating six small meals a day - also known as 'grazing' - to ensure she never felt hungry.

She explained: 'I’m careful to eat a healthy balance of foods, but I eat six small meals a day.

'If I fancy a burger, rather than deprive myself I’ll have a quarter of one.'

Stylish: Theron didn't appear to need to lose any weight, and looked svelte in a white shirt and skinny jeans

But Theron can be safe in the knowledge that whatever her size, her fans will still love her.

It was announced yesterday that the actress will be presented with the Decade of Hotness award at Spike TV's Guys Choice next month.

Theron, who has played the traditional love interest in films including Hancock and Sweet November, as well as disguising her looks to play serial killer Aileen Wournos in Monster, will be honoured at the ceremony alongside stars including Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Biel and Brooklyn Decker.

A combination of exercise, healthy eating, and weight-loss supplements have helped her shed the excess weight.

But while the reality TV star is proud of her new figure, she showed she hadn't lost her trademark curves as she stepped out in Los Angeles last night.

The 29-year-old's clinging black jumpsuit revealed her womanly figure, as she arrived at the Disco Glam event at the Armani Exchange on Robertson Boulevard.

And while Kim has been focusing on getting in shape, it seems to be an ongoing project.

Along with sister Khloé, who has lost an impressive 25lbs, she tells this week's Life & Style how she shed the pounds.

Is the diet finished? Kim has lost 10lbs, but she still has her trademark curves

The full story is in this week's Life & Style, out in the U.S. tomorrow

'Before, all I’d have for breakfast was a Grande Soy Chai Latte,' Kim said.

Now, both sisters eat either oatmeal or eggs, turkey bacon and fruit.

Kim, who at 5ft 2in is a U.S. size 2, tells the magazine she eats protein at every meal to fill up and makes sure not to deprive herself.

'If I feel like a milk shake, I have one,' said Kim.

And most importantly the sisters lean on each other for support.

'Kim will always call me and be like, Let’s go do boot camp! and that motivates me,' KhloĂ© said.

Kim also works out, a habit she developed after filming her own exercise DVD.
'I'd go to gym for a while and then I'd stop,' she said.

With the help of trainer Gunar Peterson her routine consists of tightening her core muscles with standing crunches and plank extensions, during sessions five days a week.

Back at work, Street star Sally who praises soap's cancer storyline for saving her life

By Daily Mail Reporter

On set: Sally Whittaker returns to the street and dons a wig for filming

Six months ago she was diagnosed with cancer, after a Coronation Street plotline in which her character developed the disease inspired her to check her own breasts.
Yesterday actress Sally Whittaker returned to work for the first time since she went public about her battle with the disease.

The 46-year-old has been given a wig similar to her pre-chemotherapy hairstyle and smiled at well wishers as she arrived back on set.

The star has said that the ITV soap could potentially have saved her life, as it was because of her character Sally Webster’s storyline that she checked herself and found a lump.

The early diagnosis means she has a good chance of recovery.

'If I had not been researching this storyline, I may not have discovered the lump in my breast and had it looked at so quickly,' she said in a recent interview.

'I had never properly checked my breast before because I thought this wasn't going to happen to me.'

Miss Whittaker confessed she had ignored a lump she had felt while on holiday earlier last year, but was inspired by her scenes to have it checked by on set nurse.

She explained: 'It's a stupid thing to think, but I think a lot of women are like that. Then one day, while filming the scenes about Sally having cancer, I had an hour off [and went to see the nurse].'

Going public: Sally revealing the extent of her illness on GMTV. She praises the soap for saving her life
The nurse immediately booked her a hospital appointment and last November she was diagnosed with a 1.8cm grade 1 tumour.

The tests also revealed that the diseased cells had spread to six of the lymph nodes under one arm.

Miss Whittaker was told the news with scriptwriter husband Tim Dynevor at her side and worried about how to tell her children Sam, 12, and daughters Pheobe, 15, and Hattie, seven.

She added: 'We got in the car and I cried like I'd never cried before in my life. It was uncontrollable sobbing. I didn't want to die.

'I would hate to be sat on a fluffy cloud looking down on [my children]. I had to be there to see them grow up.'

The actress vowed to continue filming her difficult scenes, in which her character has to break to her family that she has cancer, to raise awareness about the disease.

She said: 'Those were the hardest scenes I've ever had to film. I stayed strong and positive, but they [her onscreen daughters] were upset and cried - we were really close and it hit all of us that I was ill.’

After filming her storyline she took a month's break to undergo chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Her absence from screens was explained to viewers when her character went away to recuperate.

The Thins: Tess Daly and Vernon Kay do a his and her shrinking act ahead of summer stint in the States

By Chris Johnson

Slimmed down: Vernon Kay and Tess Daly at David Walliams's wedding reception on May 16 looking slimmer than usual and, right, looking more fuller faced at the Pride of Britain Awards last October

It's been a tough three months for Tess Daly and Vernon Kay.

And if you ever needed proof, just look at how the couple have been shrinking before our very eyes.

Since news broke of Vernon sending racy texts to Page 3 girl Rhian Sugden and four other women, the pair have been very much in the spotlight.

According to sources, 41-year-old Tess is still feeling humiliated and not eating enough, while the stress also seems to have affected Vernon.

Added to that, the couple are heading out to the U.S. this summer where Vernon is set to present a game show, The Six, for the ABC network.

And in the extremely image conscious Hollywood no doubt the couple, who have two daughters together, are under pressure to look their best.

Celebrity fitness trainer Nicki Waterman estimated that Tess, who stands tall at 5ft 9in, has lost a stone recently, shrinking to 8st 2lb.

Brave face: Tess looked scrawny as she stepped out in a skimpy V-neck dress top and wore her hair scraped back in a side plait

That equates to dropping from around a UK size 12 to a 6. Nicki told Closer magazine: 'She's a good stone underweight.

Strictly host Tess was pictured looking remarkably skinny as she attended comedian David Walliams's wedding reception in London last week.

She wore a skimpy V-neck dress top, which showed off her scrawny arms and legs, and wore her hair in a side-plait.

Meanwhile Vernon also appears to be less jowly in recent months.

First public appearance: Vernon looked notably less jowly when he and Tess stepped out for the first time together since the sex texts scandal at the Prince's Trust Celebrate Success Awards

His weight loss was particularly pronounced when he made his first public appearance with Tess after the text sex scandal broke.

Three weeks following news of his racy texts to 23-year-old Sugden and four other women, the couple put on a show of unity at the Prince's Trust Celebrate Success Awards in March where they stood on stage together as hosts.

But with Hollywood around the corner, the couple have another extra pressure added to their plate.

'I've tried Botox,' admits Kim Kardashian as she steps out with a 'Croydon facelift' ponytail

By Daily Mail Reporter

From dressed-down to dazzling: Kim Kardashian looked casual in a studded vest and jeans (right) before changing into a Sass & Bide dress for a TV party

She may be only 29, but Kim Kardashian has admitted using Botox.

As the reality TV star strenuously denied rumours she had undergone plastic surgery, she opted for a cheaper alternative - the face-tightening high ponytail, dubbed the 'Croydon facelift'.

After wearing the harsh style as she shopping in Los Angeles yesterday, Kardashian decided to keep her hair up as she attended a Hollywood party with her family.

As she shopped at the Nordstrom department store on Monday afternoon, Kardashian looked far from her usual glamorous self in a loose-fitting black studded vest and skinny jeans.

But it was a different story at the 20th anniversary party of the E! channel later that evening, as she showcased her famous curves in a tight-fitting £1,485 white Sass & Bide mini-dress.

The dress, which is available in both black and white, has been spotted on several celebrities in recent months, including Beyonce, Charlotte Church and Kardashian's friend, former Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton.

Natural: Kardashian denied she had butt implants, or any other plastic surgery, on U.S. TV show Nightline

She was joined by her sisters Khloe and Kourtney and mother Kris Jenner.

Writing on her Twitter page: 'Heading to E! Entertainment's 20th birthday party with the whole family. Damn I feel old.

'Me, Kourtney, Khloe and my mom all showed up to the E! dinner in sequins! All accidental! Sooo embarrassing! We all look like twins!'

The Kardashian family night out came as the foursome were interviewed on ABC News show Nightline.

While Kardashian denied she had undergone plastic surgery, she admitted using Botox.

She said: 'I'm totally not against plastic surgery. I've tried Botox before. That's the only thing that I've done.'

Famous for her curves, and in particular her derriere, Kardashian insisted it was all natural: 'No butt implants, no butt injections, no anything to my butt.

'I've never had my nose done. What's funny about my nose, it's my biggest insecurity. I always want to get my nose done.

'I went to the doctor, I had them take the pictures, he showed me what it would look like and it just didn't - I wouldn't look the same.'

Talking about her cleavage, Kardashian joked: 'Trust me honey, if I take this bra off you will tell me I need to get them done.'

While Kardashian insists she was surgery free, her older sister Kourtney, 30, and mother Jenner, 54, have both had breast enhancement.

Kourtney said: 'I have had breast implants, but it's so funny 'cause it's not a secret, I could care less.'

Jenner added: 'Nothing ever on my face. I've had my boobs done and that was 1988 and I had it done twice in the same year because the first one didn't work... I had some Botox.'
Kardashian also admitted she was still really close to her ex-boyfriend, American football player Reggie Bush, who she split from in March.

She said: 'We're really good friends. We're in contact all the time. It's just, the relationship isn't for us right now so I'm totally happy and fine.'
